Travis County Health & Human Services

Travis County HHS helps residents navigate financial hardship, housing needs, food insecurity, and utilities. For flood recovery, they may be able to help with home repairs, weatherization, utilities, food, social work, case management, and connections to other resources.

Home repair and weatherization covers roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and septic systems — applications are screened and eligible applicants may be placed on a waitlist. Utility assistance can help with electric, water, gas, and other bills, depending on funding. Social workers and case managers can help if you're dealing with several problems at once and don't know where to start — they help with housing, food, transportation, health care, employment, disability benefits, mental health, and other needs.
