Sandy Creek Alliance is neighbors organizing for our own recovery. Donations pay for the work: organizing, advocacy, and the projects we decide on together.
Where your donation goes
- 100% goes to Sandy Creek Alliance. Givebutter charges no processing fee, so this is exact, not approximate.
- The community decides how these funds are used. Sandy Creek Alliance governs itself and administers its own money — the priorities are set by the neighbors who show up, at our monthly community meetings.
- Your donation is tax-deductible. Donations are received by Gifted Dreamers, Inc., a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 39-3863796), which issues your tax receipt.

How to know a request is really from us
Disaster recovery attracts people who impersonate community organizations. Please know:
- Online, this page is the only place we collect donations. We use one processor, Givebutter, and no other. If you are asked to give through a different website or app, it is not us.
- In person, we may collect at our own monthly community meetings at Round Mountain School — from people who are in the room, by neighbors you can recognize.
- We will never call, text, or message you out of the blue asking for money. If someone contacts you that way claiming to collect for Sandy Creek Alliance, it is not us.
- We will never ask for gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency.
If you are unsure whether something is really from us, write to connect@sandycreekalliance.org and ask. We would much rather answer the question.
Other ways to help
Money is not the only thing that helps, and for many of our neighbors it is not the thing they have. Take action with us, or send photos for the community record.
