Getting to a doctor, grocery store, pharmacy, work, or community event shouldn't depend on whether you have a car. These resources provide free transportation or accessibility assistance for qualifying residents, seniors, and people with disabilities.
CARTS — Capital Area Rural Transportation System
Provides public transportation throughout rural Central Texas, including Travis, Williamson, Burnet, Blanco, Hays, and surrounding counties. Offers fixed-route service as well as non-emergency medical transportation and other mobility services. Because Sandy Creek sits outside the urban core, CARTS is an important resource to check when regular CapMetro service isn't available.

Drive a Senior Northwest
A volunteer-powered program serving older adults in Northwest Austin and surrounding communities, including Cedar Park and Leander. Volunteers provide rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and essential errands for seniors who no longer drive.

Faith in Action Georgetown

Need help finding transportation?
Transportation programs have different eligibility rules, service areas, and appointment requirements. If you're a senior, have a disability, don't drive, or are recovering from a disaster, start with 2-1-1, Travis County HHS, or a case manager through TCRA or Endeavors. They can help identify transportation options based on your specific situation. You shouldn't have to choose between missing an appointment and finding a way to get there.
